Service Areas

Do you cover where I live?

Assessment requests are routed to independent contractors covering Calgary and the surrounding communities listed below. Give your postal code on the form and the request goes to someone who works in that area. If nobody covers your postal code, we will tell you rather than sitting on the request.

We are a referral service, not a contractor. Your request goes to an independent Calgary foundation company.

Why there is no page for each community

This is a deliberate choice, and it is worth explaining.

It would be straightforward to generate a page for every community, neighbourhood and quadrant in the Calgary area by swapping a place name into a template. Sites in this trade do it constantly, and Google's spam policies describe the result as doorway abuse: pages built to rank for similar queries that lead users to intermediate pages less useful than the destination.

The more practical objection is that we do not currently have anything true and specific to say about foundations in Chestermere that differs from foundations in Okotoks. The soil, the climate and the freeze-thaw cycling are broadly shared across the region, and pretending otherwise to justify a page would be inventing local detail rather than reporting it.

If genuinely distinct local information emerges, such as a community built on particular fill or a neighbourhood with a documented drainage history, that will justify a page. Until then, one honest service area page is more useful than fifteen near-identical ones.

What applies across the whole region

The conditions that drive foundation problems here are regional rather than neighbourhood-specific.

Chinook-driven freeze-thaw cycling, clay-rich soils that swell and shrink with moisture, footings placed below a deep frost line, and a snowmelt that concentrates a winter of precipitation into a few warm days all apply across Calgary and the surrounding communities.

The one variable that does change meaningfully by area is the age and construction of the housing stock. Inner-city Calgary contains rubble, stone and unreinforced foundations that behave quite differently from the engineered systems in newer suburban and satellite-community builds, and advice generalised from one can be wrong for the other.
